Before leaving for our new life in Charlotte, North Carolina, we decided to take a few weeks to visit some places that we haven’t seen (or haven’t visited in a long time). The first stop on our trip was Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We spent about a week in Bosnia with our friends Steffen and Anna.

This was the first time for the both of us in Bosnia. We our fellow travelers asked why we were going to Bosnia, they were surprised when we told them for tourism. For now, Bosnia is not considered a tourist destination.

The Djemaa el Fna of Marrakech, Morocco – September 2005
On our way to Senegal, we got a free layover in Morocco with Royal Air Maroc. Since neither of us had ever been to Morocco, we gladly took advantage of the opportunity to see some cities. Most of our time in Morocco was spent in Marrakech. These pictures only focus on the old city (Djemaa el Fna) of Marrakech.
