These albums contain the remaining pictures from the Turkey leg of our summer 2007 vacation. After Istanbul, we flew to Antalya and drove along the western coast of Turkey. Enjoy the albums!

Cirali was the first stop after Istanbul. Highlights of this village include the ruins of Olympos, the flames of Chimera, and cheap, freshly-squeezed orange juice. It was totally different from Istanbul.
Kumluca, Arykanda and Kas – June 2007
After a few days in Cirali, we stopped at the flea market of Kumluca to get some things for the road and just check out the scene. We then visited the ruins of Arykanda, where the gloomy skies provided a great setting for pictures. The final pictures of this album is from our one night in Kas.
Oludeniz, Faralya and Kayakoy – June 2007
We wished that we had a video camera during our drive from the base of Oludeniz to Faralya; then again, maybe not. We were thinking about staying at the top of a mountain during our stay in this area, but changed our mind after the drive. This album also includes our visit to the abandoned city of Kayakoy. This city and its history were the basis of Louis de Berniere’s novel Birds Without Wings.
Mugla, Selcuk, Ephesus (Efes), Sirince and Izmir – June 2007
After Kayakoy, we stopped in the town of Mugla just to check it out for a couple of hours before heading to our final resting stop in Turkey – Selcuk. From Selcuk, we took day trips to the ruins of Ephesus (Efes) and the small town of Sirince. It was also in Selcuk that we got some tasty Turkish delights. We flew to Berlin from Izmir. While in Izmir we noticed that the women were more liberally dressed, and that people just had a more relaxed attitude about life.
Coming up next – Dubrovnik and Berlin.
